Harley-Davidson Shop Sunday, July
31st to try their skill at eaminga trophy.

and National City came to the annual
Poker Run sponsored by the Norwalk
Centaurs Motorcycle Club.

Leaving the Whittier sbop. the participants rode south via Greenleaf. Slauson and SamaFe Springs Rd. toDenny's
Coffee Shop on Imperial Highway. A
Centaur Checker .as waiting in the
parking lot with directions for getting to
the 2nd check point.
Alter another cup of coffee (coffee
and donuts were served at tbe start) the
riders turned west on Imperial Highway
and then North on Lakewood to Valley
Blvd. in Rosemead. Striking east to
Pomona, they turned south to Chino and
then east again to Woodcrest. Here the
riders became confused. The route card
specified a"feW-miles to the 3rd check.
The actual distance was nearer 20, resulting in most riders back-tracking,
looking for a checkpoint tbey hadn't
come to yet.
Everyone eventually found the check,
had more refreshment am rode north into

his outstanding riding in tbe 250ce
trophy dash. winning it by a narrow
margin and crossing the start-finish
line on his rear wheel for an enthusiastic crowd at tbe ACA SUnda.:J.
August 14th Ventura Fairgrounds
races. Tbe fans more than showed
their appreciation to many of the
outstanding riders. The track was a
very fast, smootb and flat l/8th mile.
