Bill Ershi g was sixth tastest qualltier and second in his heat race. When his bike started to run bad it didn 't matter. he just went on to get a sixth in the dash, tourth In the second semi and eighth In the final. Sid looked good, but that S p r i n t just wouldn't run at all. Julian didn·t get to ride , so he took over Si d's previous spot in the stands. Art Barda, who Is Na ti onal Numbe r 96. also showed up from Caillornia. to rac e all s eason. He rode at San ta Fe , but had equipment tailure.
