W don' t guare antee to keep it secret. You may find it crowded next time. 1f you find i t closed just tell Cycl e News about it. We are gathering evidence to persua de Californ ia ' s politicians that 1) Citizens are riding motorcyc les off the road. 2) T raditionally certain areas have been or are bei ng used as unofficial cycle recreation parks (favorite f ungrounds) and 3) 0 ff i ci a I recognition should be conferred on those which are public property. and privately owned areas should be encouraged to develop as motorcycle parks , raceaways. etc. by Government. Egoism in t he R.R, C? The great est benefit run o n R.R.C . calendar is pa st. What s hould ha ve hee n don e for th e City of Hope . wa s only a far ce as far as thi s ye a r's efforts. I feel t he A.M.A. has ad vanced molorcyc ling as a recognized spOrt . I also think t ha t th e A.M.A.. llke many large associations , has become decayed and cumber som e and has los t co ntact wit h its constituents. T o kee p from sounding as though I'm on a soapbo x, I would like to s tate that many of us i n America today ha ve ei the r foughl wars or be en su bj ected t o c onditions of war to preserve Ihe freed om a man has of th e right to c hoose and select what he wishes to do withoul .a ny outside interference or pres s ure by an y indi vidual or group. as long as he does not infringe upon th e rights of his fel lowman. I think th e press ures exerted and th e state ments you hav e made recently to A.C.A. memhe rs who a re competi ng in yo ur A.M.A. events a re a viola tion of a man' s ri gbt to select and choo se.
