P ubli cit y for Ascot Park , announced
Harry SChooler, owner of Ascot. Best
known recently for her association
with Cycle World monthly. Miss Sims
(then Carol Anderson) first wrote for
a national audience in th e Clymer
magazines .
Carol is without a doubt the most
en thusiastic fan that motorcycle racing can boast. Be gipn in g as one-girl

organized other moppets into a teenage fan cl ub to root for her favo rite
Speedway heroes . Her love of racing
s hows continued from the grandstan ds
until 1957 , when s he began to writ e

particularly to sprint cars .
Caro l' s scrupulous standards of
accuracy le d her to become involved
in the behind-the-scenes mystery of
motor racing. Th is culminated in he r
s p 0 n s 0 r i n g a speedway-winning
Matchles s 500 for the better part of
last season.
Car ol' s first official act will be
to have Ascot P ar k repainted. It is
to be hoped that Carol may be able
to alter the stockyard appearance of
