Chandler has had many excellent ri des throughout the year, bu t has I S' H-D H-D never quite been able to move into the # 1 spot . Wednesday night, however, his Honda was performing exceptionally well and Luther was determined to win. The IOOcc main event was ag ain won by John Balaarn, but not unti l the last lap when Rick Woods went w id e on the we st t urn and allow ed Balaam t o m ove into the lead. Another first w as the winner of the 250cc trophy dash , Jay Crawford. Jay has been ridin g the entire season and has had con tinuous bad luck. but Wednesday night in the trophy dash he fin ally w as able to pu t the right com bi nation together and w in this event.
