The fun Destry is having too
much of lately is in AMA EnduroCross.
"I've been with EnduroCross
since it started, when there was
just a few hundred people and
there were empty seats everywhere. Now it's hard to find any
empty seats. It's been amazing
to see EnduroCross evolve. Now
I'm at a latter stage in my racing
career, but man, it's the most fun
I have racing these days. I still
want to be part of that."
For the first time in his career,
Destry now has the freedom to
focus all his energies on
EnduroCross – something
he is hoping will hoist him
onto the podium in 2013.
"I'm feeling good and,
man, I've been riding a
lot," Abbott said. "It's really
the only thing I've been focused on this year. For
once I'm putting more emphasis on it and I'm looking forward to seeing how
it goes. I'm super excited
about X Games, even more than
the AMA EnduroCross, rounds
because the trials guys aren't going to have the advantage over
some of the more versatile guys.
