LOOKING BACK
Two magicians on two wheels were featured in Cycle News 40 years ago.
We got the "Wheelie King" Doug Domokos and championship trials
rider Bernie Schreiber together for a special day of motorcycle trickery
and discussion... Dick Burleson won the Foggy Mountain Two-Day
ISDE Qualifier in Tellico Plains, Tennessee... Larry Roeseler and Jack
Johnson teamed up and won the Mexicali 250... Mark Barnett and Kent
Howerton won the Hangtown National MX... We interviewed new factory
Kawasaki Team motocrosser Larry Wosick.

We pictured the lucky winner of the International Racing Enterprise's
Easter egg hunt. For taking first place, young Bill Watkins won a Maverick
minibike and a place on the front page of Cycle News... We featured an
interview with flat track racer Dave Aldana... CMC Motocross was going
strong at Saddleback Park. Tim Hart won both 250cc and 500cc Expert
classes that included racers Mark Blackwell, Jim West, Mike Runyard
