"I try and have fun, and today
was difficult to have fun, man,"
said Strang. "The track was
gnarly. Just some of the bumps
here, you can't try and get on top
of them. It's so difficult. I guess
I had fun there riding with Ricky.
I stayed behind him all the way
until the last lap when he fell over
here just by the pits. I got a little
lucky there, but I feel like I was

sell looking to have the runner-up
spot all sewed up, only to hand it
to Strang when Russell crashed
on the final lap, not far from the
finish. To Strang's credit, the
Aussie off-road star had put in a
fantastic ride, coming from last
off the start to put himself in posi-
tion to grab the second spot on
the podium.
The win was the 62nd XC1 vic-
tory of Kailub's career, and when
asked on the podium if he had
thoughts of an undefeated sea-
son, Kailub said, "I'm not going
to sit here and tell you, yeah, I'm
going to win every race. But I try
to win every time I'm on the track."
With first-place never in doubt,
