in Georgia. However, no one is
predicting an upset. KTM riders
won all three XC pro classes on
the day, with Russell topping the
XC1 class, Johnny Girroir, the
XC2 class, and Zack Hayes the
FMF XC3 125 Pro-Am class.
"It's been a long time since I've
won the first two and did it with
somewhat ease," said Russell.
"I got a good start and just kept
a steady pace the first three or
four laps. I really struggled, but
I was able to bide my time and
ride mistake-free laps. It's easy
to do that when you're not under
pressure. You can pick your lines
and get around lappers a little bit
stress-free. Still, my hands are
killing me. They're smoked. I'll
feel it tomorrow."
