IIIMY OWN RACE:
Bagge said. "I felt like I had some
spots where I was catching those guys
a li le bit, and those guys were playing
cat-and-mouse a li le bit, so they were
probably slowing up the pace, and that
was probably helping me reel them in
a li le bit. But then, when I'd make a
mistake, they'd gap right back out. It
was one of those nights where I felt
like I le a li le bit out there in some
areas, but at the same me, I've been
pre y far away from having a podium,
so I'm super-stoked to be up here."
9 ADAM CIANCIARULO
2ND (450SX)
Adam Cianciarulo led most of the main
event, but he eventually succumbed to
the relentless pressure of the current
champ Cooper Webb and ended up
second on the night. "I've been wai ng
on this moment to be in the premier
class racing supercross for a long me,
and you never really know where
you're going to be," Cianciarulo said.
"I came in with a lot of confidence. I
felt like I could be up here, but it's a
whole different world; you have to
learn, and you have to adapt. And even
Anaheim 1 [where he finished second],
it's always a li le bit crazy, and the
results are kind of a li le bit tossed up,
so it means a lot for me to get up here
at this point in the season. Losing it
in the end like that kind of sucks, but
I felt like I rode well, and I made a lot
of progress; I adapted well, and I was
trying a bunch of different stuff, but it
just didn't work [laughs]."
