back up, and it was all worth
it. He finished the race on the
podium. It looked like Skyler
Adams was going to hold off
Bitterman and take the third
spot, but at the last second,
Bitterman charged ahead and
came in third.
Amidst the action from Bit-
terman, the battle for first place
was also thrilling. Owen started
with lead and maintained it
throughout, but at every turn
Peters was right on his tail mak-
ing it anyone's race. Ultimately
Owen fought hard and hung
out to secure the win.
The 450 Pro main didn't quite
have the drama as the 250
race. While Owen tried to press
Peters and take another win,
ultimately Peters reclaimed his
spot at the top of the podium,
with Owen taking second.
Another epic battle between
Bitterman and Steinke took
place for the third spot, which
ultimately went to Steinke.
On Saturday night, heat one
of the 250 Pro Sport class saw
Peters win his heat race, fol-
lowed by Bitterman in second
and Tate in third.
Owen won heat two ahead
of Steinke and Butkiewicz.
Steinke won the exciting first
heat of the 450 Pro class. Pe-
ters took third over newcomer
Kinser Endicott.
Owen continued his heat-win-
ning streak in heat two, followed
by Bitterman and Franky Martini.
The 250 Pro main brought
the drama again. Owen went
down during the main, and
spent the race fighting his way
back up to the front but ulti-
mately fell short of the podium.
Tate also had a mechani-
cal that caused him to crash
and get landed on. Tate was
unable to finish the race but he
is said to be recovering and is
expected to be back for round
10 in Salt Lake City. Peters took
the win followed by Bitterman
and Steinke.
Peters continued his win
streak in the 450 Pro main.
Owen kept turning up the pres-
sure but couldn't break Peters,
who went on to win. Owen took
second, while Bitterman fought
off Kinser Endicott and Steinke
for third. CN
