IIIMY OWN RACE:
lot," Hill said. "When I wake up in the
morning, and I'm at O.Co [Coliseum,
now named RingCentral Coliseum],
it's an a tude change. I just like it
here. I got my first podium here,
and I've won a bunch here. It's just
good memories and my confidence
just rises here. In the past, that has
transcended through the rest of the
rounds, and that's what I'm hoping
it does this me, too. I won a heat
race tonight, and that boosted my
confidence, and I hoped I could be a
top-five guy tonight; that would've
been really cool. But I didn't quite
get going early enough, and these
guys are fast. Eighth is my best finish
yet, so it was good."
21 JASON ANDERSON
5TH 450SX
Jason Anderson had a crash in his
heat race that set him back, but
he s ll managed a top-five in the
main. "I think my heat race kind of
jacked me up for a good gate pick
in the main event," Anderson said.
"I crashed in there and I think I was
16th gate pick going into the main,
and I had a start from the far outside,
but the pack just pushed way wide
into the first turn and I didn't have
anywhere to go. I came out like
ninth or something and worked my
way up to another fi h. I'm not fast
enough right now to make up for a
bad start and be ba ling for a win.
But I feel like I'm fast enough to be
with them if I get a good start on the
right night."

"We didn't change the bike or
any settings, it's just maybe men-
tally I was in a better place at the
start and I made a better start than
usual," Ferrandis said. "My start
was more like during the week,
because during the week my starts
Circuit Kawasaki's Austin Forkner
fought his way by on the second
lap with Ferrandis in tow. Ferrandis
hounded Forkner for about half the
race before shoving his way by the
Kawasaki rider using basically the
same move Tomac used twice in
the 450SX main on Roczen.

about him taking out Christian
Alex Martin (26) made
good use of a great start
and almost put the JGR
