Garrett Gerloff is continuing to adapt well to life in WorldSBK.
Van der Mark behind. Haslam placed fourth on his
impressive new Honda on a day when many riders
tried to do long runs and work on refining their race
setup.
Sandro Cortese rode the Barni Ducati on day
one at Portimao, but the recuperating Leon Camier
went against expectations and rode day two de-
spite complicated shoulder surgery a month ago.
A flurry of fast times on a dry track at the end of
the second day saw Razgatlioglu ace the best time
with a 1:40.804 with Redding just 0.079 seconds
behind. Baz was third fastest on his private Ya-
maha, and with Van der Mark fourth it was clearly
a good day for the R1 riders. GRT rider Gerloff was
inside the top 10 and just a sliver behind his team-
mate Federico Caricasulo.
