IIIMY OWN RACE: main," Reed said. "Honestly, these first few races have just been really difficult because of the emo ons of this being my last year doing this, and I just don't think I was really prepared for that. I dropped out of the race last weekend because my emo ons just made it, so I didn't want to be out there, and I didn't ride all week, but it helped me start to get that under control, I think. We'll see." 19 JUSTIN BOGLE 16TH 450SX Jus n Bogle (Rocky Mountain ATV-MC KTM) has been looking good on the track, but he doesn't have the results to show for it so far in 2020. "It's been a struggle," Bogle said. "It's tough because I've been struggling in med qualifying, and then I get bad gate picks so that usually leads to some bad starts, and then it's just hard to get anything going. But I'm not a 16th- place guy. We'll get it figured out." 32 JUSTIN COOPER 2ND 250SX "I felt like I struggled all day," said the 250SX West points leader. "There were a lot of obstacles thrown at us with this track; it was pre y technical, and a lot of the flat turns were pre y tricky. But I felt be er each me out. It was a big SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3 / JANUARY 18, 2020 ANGEL STADIUM / ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA P60 outside the top 10, but set an absolutely blistering pace and completely dominated the main event. Fresh off his win in St. Louis last weekend, Ken Roc- zen (Honda HRC) got the holeshot at Anaheim 2, and after sloughing off a challenge by Blake Baggett (Rocky Mountain ATV-MC KTM) in the opening stages (who went down while challenging Roczen for the lead), pulled out to a sizeable early lead. But Tomac was on another level altogether. It took Tomac less than five laps to get up to second place, and then when he set his sights on Roczen out front, Tomac threw down five 52-second lap times in a row—a 52.078, 52.418, 52.884, 52.885 and a 52.614—to catch, pass, and pull away from the previous- round winner Roczen. Nobody else in the main event re- corded a single lap in the 52-second range, and Tomac nearly got into the 51s! A healthier Cooper Webb showed the speed that won him the 2019 title.
