LOOKING BACK
We featured young road racer Harry Klinzmann on the cover of Cycle

third round of the CMC/Can-Am Golden State MX Series visited Fremont,
California, where Rex Staten won both the 250cc and Open Expert
classes. Jim Holley won the 125cc class… We tested KTM's latest 250cc
motocross bike… We showed you Dick Mann's latest creation, a Honda
XR500-powered motocrosser houseD inside a Mann-designed chassis.

Forty years ago,
you could send Dick
Mann Specialties
your XR500 engine,
and he'd install it in
his own Mann-built
chassis.
