Our coverage of the Dunlop Tire Test from Daytona was our cover
story 20 years ago. Pictured on the front page was Miguel Duhamel
aboard the new Honda RC-51. That is Scott Russell giving chase…
Alan Cathcart tested Kenny Roberts Jr.'s Suzuki RGV500… We
interviewed AMA Pro Racing President Scott Hollingsworth…
Ryan Morias was one of the top riders at the Florida Winter National
Olympics. James Stewart won the Supermini class… We covered A
Day In The Dirt; Jessica Alba was Miss ADITD.
A photo from the 17th Barstow-To-Vegas desert race was featured on the
cover 30 years ago. Entries were limited to 1200 and the overall winner
was Dan Smith, with Chris Crandall and Larry Roeseler filling out the
podium… We also had coverage of the Winter National Olympics (aka Mini
O's) from Gainesville, Florida. Team Green Kawasaki's mini bike rider Kevin
Windham was the Bronze Bike award winner; he finished out the week
undefeated. Josh Steel won the
Scott Golden Goggle Award.
