2020 Ducati Panigale V4 First Look
T
he Ducati Panigale V4 and V4
S superbike will be getting its
first touch-ups from the factory
since being released in 2018, with
the 2020 version getting body-
work and electronic upgrades.
The main differences amount
to the stealing of the Panigale R's
bodywork, as the $21,995 base
model and the $28,395 Panigale
S now use the same wings as
the R model, as well as the same
sharper front light setup.
The new, wider fairing will en-
case the rider better than previ-
ously, and Ducati claims the new
wings will give the base and S
models 66 pounds of downforce
at 168 mph.
Ducati has gone the opposite
direction they normally take with
a superbike, making the front
frame less stiff than before to
give better feedback from the
front in corners. The center of
gravity has been pushed up
5mm, with softer springs front
and rear amounting for a nicer,
more compliant ride in real-world
conditions.
The new Panigale V4 and V4 S
will get Ride-By-Wire adjustments
for a smoother throttle response,
and new mapping in gears one-
to-three to aid stability when hard
on the gas. CN
The 2020
Ducati Panigale
V4 and V4 S
superbike get
their first minor
refinements
since their 2018
release.
