Arenacross Series Gets AMA National
Championship Sanctioning For 2020

or the first time, the 2020 Cycle City
Promotions Arenacross Series will be an
AMA-sanctioned national championship. The
series, which started in 1995, will also have
national television coverage again for 2020 on
Fox Sports 2 (FS2).
"We are thrilled to work with the AMA to
help recognize the riders that compete in the
Arenacross Series," said Tod Hammock, the
president and founder of Cycle City Promotions.
"We had a great year last year with the FS2 TV cov-
erage helping to boost the awareness of the series
and we have a lot of momentum going into 2020."
"Arenacross is an important part of the AMA rac-
ing program and to be able to continue to have an
AMA Arenacross National Championship will be a
benefit to all of our AMA members, both as fans and
as competitors. With Tod and his crew coming on
board with the AMA, we know the series is in good
hands," said AMA Racing Director Kevin Crowther.
"We welcome Tod and his series as the new AMA
Arenacross National Championship and look forward
to a successful 2020 campaign."
The 12-round 2020 series will kick off January
3-4, 2020, in Loveland, Colorado. There will be
a total of seven tour stops and 12 events with the
finals taking place on March 7, 2020, in Amarillo,
