Greg Albertyn had the cover all to himself for winning the 1999 250cc
National MX Championship at the final round at Steel City Raceway in
Pennsylvania. The South African won both motos and took the title over rival
Kevin Windham. Ricky Carmichael finished out his 125cc career with a
1-1… Alex Criville won the 500cc Grand Prix at Imola… Carl Fogarty won
the World Superbike round at Assen in front of 55,000 fans… Rich King
won the Springfield Mile. It was his first career mile victory.
