Bronson Bauman in a fight over
third.
Mees and Carver slowly pulled
away from the pack.
"I felt like Jeffrey was the
next-best guy," said Mees. "I
thought if he and I could get in a
line and tow, we would probably
pull away, as long as we didn't
mess each other's pace up by

Twins heat race. It appeared Jeremy
Higgins bounced off the wall and
fell midway down the back straight.
When he fell, it collected Tanner
Dean, and both riders tumbled a
long ways down the track. Higgins'
bike broke in two with the back half
going over the wall. Despite the
severity of the accident, both riders
are expected to make a full recovery
from their injuries.
