Fourth in race one went to a
revitalized Jake Gagne on the
Scheibe Racing BMW, albeit
some 24 seconds off Elias in
third, with Mathew Scholtz
(Westby Racing Yamaha) in fifth.
Jake Lewis (M4 ECSTAR
Suzuki) had earlier qualified in
third, his best showing of the
season, when he got tangled
up in a lap-one altercation with
Yoshimura Suzuki's Josh Her-
rin with both riders going down.
Herrin would remount to finish
eighth, and Lewis classified 11
th
,
three laps down.
Kyle Wyman was also enjoying
his best round to date, battling
with Gagne until lap 12 when he
crashed out of the race in the
same place as Lewis and Herrin.

otoAmerica rolled
into Steel City at the
picturesque 2.7-mile
Pittsburgh International Race
Complex, with Monster Energy
Yamaha's Garrett Gerloff and
Yoshimura Suzuki's Toni Elias
taking the race wins, and the lat-
ter increasing his championship
lead to 35.
Gerloff, the form man current-
ly after his wins at Laguna Seca
and Sonoma, finally wrestled the
lead from teammate, defending
champion and pole-sitter Camer-
on Beaubier late in the race after
leading on two previous occa-
sions. The Texan would hold the
Californian at bay until the flag,
finishing just 0.3 seconds clear,
