FLAT TRACK AMERICAN FL AT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 13/AUGUST 10, 2019 CAL EXPO FAIR/SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA P94 JR Addison (Smith-Addison Racing/J&F Construction, Kawa- saki Ninja 650) was a close fourth, as Cody Johncox (Sunnyside Cycles/Luczak Racing, Yamaha MT-07) and Kolby Carlile (Este- nson Racing/Monster Energy, Yamaha MT-07) dueled over fifth. Texter's narrow lead melted away, and Gauthier blasted around Rispoli and Texter both on lap four. "Right from the first lap in the main, I knew it was going to be a good one," said Gauthier. "I got off to a good start just like I wanted. I passed Cory around the outside in turn three and just set sail. I just did consistent laps and tried to do my own race. I looked back halfway through the race, and nobody was there, so I was like, 'sweet!'" With Gauthier pulling to a convincing lead, all eyes turned to the battle for second. Fresh off his second-place finish in Rapid City, Addison backed it up with another second. He pulled clear fourth. Wells was also under the blanket in fifth. Chad Cose (Parkinson Brothers Racing/Rod Lake), AFT Singles points leader, Dalton Gauthier (D&D Cycles/Gobert Smash) and Brandon Kitchen (Donley Excavating/D&D Cycles) finished sixth through eighth, respectively, in their own pack less than two seconds off the lead. AFT PRODUCTION TWINS History was made in the 15-lap AFT production Twins main event as a Harley-Davidson XG750R won an AFT main event. Current points leader, Cory Texter (G&G Racing/Holeshot Powersports, Yamaha MT-07) led the 16-rider field into turn one, but he had teammates James Rispoli (Black Hills Harley-Davidson/Pro Beam, Harley-Davidson XG750R) and Dalton Gauthier (Black Hills Har- ley-Davidson/Pro Beam, Harley- Davidson XG750R) right behind. IIIMY OWN RACE: the hammer and tried to break every- one up, and fortunately, we were able to do that. I would rather it just be me and him and take second rather than get bunched up with everyone else and have some issues. I cut some good laps when I was ahead of him. I knew Bryan [Smith] wasn't a problem because he was strug- gling in the corners. I took a peek back about 10 laps in and saw that we had a good gap. It was slick. I couldn't tell any difference in the res. I could just tell that it was a lot slicker than normal." 67 DAVIS FISHER 3RD AFT TWINS "That was a lot be er than last week," said Fisher. "A er hi ng the air fence last week, to rebound and get a third place, which is my first podium finish, it feels so good. It's awesome having my whole family here suppor ng me. I can't thank all my sponsors enough. I got a holeshot in the semi and led half of the first lap, and then Jared got by me. For the main event, I was si ng third off of the pole. I didn't get the best start in the main; I came off like eighth. I got bumped up a li le bit by Bryan. I had to work for it, for sure. I was trying to dra by him [Smith] and couldn't quite get by him. I was using some corner speed and was able to make my way through the pack." In the Singles class, Shayna Texter (52) gave KTM its first-ever mile victory.
