Rush and Texter. On lap 13, Texter's
lead was just 0.052 over Rush. The
defending AFT Singles Champion,
Bromley, made a charge from fifth to
first in turn three, but in the process
moved his teammate off the groove.
She dropped to fifth as the pack
received the white flag.
Turn four to the finish line would
settle the race and Texter positioned
herself perfectly, drafting past every-
one for the win.
"I definitely got pushed off the
groove a little bit, unfortunately by my
teammate," said Texter. "I didn't see
that coming, so that elevated my heart
rate a little bit coming to that white-flag
lap. I just put it in so hard into three
and got myself in a really good posi-
tion. I then got a draft off these guys
into the lead."
Rush and Avery were also able to
draft Bromley, who held on to a close
estly say that they are the new king
because they didn't beat him. They
will be scratching their head and
wondering what if Henry was here?
If he comes back and races next
weekend, obviously he is going to
be pretty banged up. Hopefully, he
is okay."
STILL LEADING
Points leaders in all three classes
maintained their leads. Briar Bau-
man's AFT Twins points are at 27
over Jared Mees. Bronson Bau-
man sits third 55 points down. AFT
Singles is still led by Dalton Gauth-
ier, but only by seven over defend-
ing class champion, Dan Bromley.
Mikey Rush is another three back.
Cory Texter leads AFT Production
Twins. He also has a 27-point lead
over Ryan Varnes with Kolby Carlile
another 16 back.
Briefly...
