FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 12 / AUGUST 2-4, 2019
AUTOMOTODROM BRNO / BRNO, CZECH REPUBLIC

It was indeed a crazy weekend, made so by
the weather. Friday was warm and dry, then not
only was qualifying complicated by rain, but it
robbed riders in all classes of setup and tire test-
ing time. Sunday was dry for Moto 3 and Moto2,
but as the latter race finished, heavy but brief
and localized showers struck.
Almost an hour later, MotoGP riders went out
for a sighting lap only to call in directly for a bike
change on different tires, generally slicks. But

IIIMY OWN RACE:
6 STEFAN BRADL
15TH MOTOGP
"I'm not happy with the final result be-
cause I think we had a lot more poten-
al," Bradl said. "Since Friday, we have
been improving but the condi ons of
Saturday and lack of me hurt us in the
race today, and I struggled with rear grip
and turning during the race. It has been a
very busy weekend, and we were able to
work a lot for Honda. To score was good
but I am hoping for more in Austria."
20 FABIO QUARTARARO
7TH MOTOGP
"The condi ons were strange, and I was a
li le bit stressed in the beginning because
I don't have much experience, but we're
happy with our result," Quartararo said.
"I overtook a few riders in the race, and I
learned a lot from doing that, about how
to save the res so I can be more aggres-
sive when I need to. I tried to push at the
end to catch Rossi to try and fight with
him for the first me, and it's a shame I
wasn't quite able to close down the gap
to him."
Marquez got the

the first half of the
race, then pulled
the pin.
