MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUND 8 / JULY 20, 2019 SPRING CREEK RACEWAY / MILLVILLE, MINNESOTA P66 Webb was the top qualifier one race ago, at RedBud, and he repeated that this weekend at Millville's Spring Creek Raceway before getting two good starts and going on to win both motos, on a day when heavy rains and threats of lightning shortened morning qualifying/practice to one session and delayed the start of the races themselves by an hour. And, in typical Webb fashion, he was more than will- ing to fight for it. And Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Adam Cian- ciarulo has recently earned a reputation for tenacity, too. After his heart-breaking loss of the 250SX West championship in May, Cianciarulo has put his boot on the 250MX champion- ship's throat and refuses to let up until the job is done. He was balked by a poor start in moto two but s ll managed third overall with a 1-6 score. "Over the gate, I had a good jump, but I clicked a false neutral between second and third gear, so that sort of messed up my start," Lawrence said of moto two. "But, hey, that hap- pens. So, we were last, and we tried to dice through the first two turns as best as we could. It was a great first moto, and I felt my riding was good coming through the pack [in moto two], especially with the condi ons." 26 ALEX MARTIN 2ND 250MX (2-3) Alex Mar n had a great day at his home (literally) race on Saturday. He and his brother Jeremy grew up with the Spring Creek racetrack in their backyard, but this wasn't a breakthrough for Mar n. He likely would've finished on the podium at RedBud, the previous round, if his motor- cycle hadn't broken in the first moto. At Millville, Mar n finished 2-2 on the track, but was credited with a 2-3 score a er (Above) It was only a matter of time before Webb grabbed his first win of the season. (Below) Zach Osborne returned after injury and surprised everyone with second overall.
