tonight, and it's definitely going to
help us with this championship,"

so good. I was fast in practice and
qualifying and felt really comfort-

Ohlins enough for helping us out
with our shock and our suspension.
He was a game saver, and I felt so
much more comfortable than I had
before on this bike. And my mom's
here for her first national ever. It's
awesome to win in front of her."
Bromley, along with Gauthier,
was also able to get by Texter.
Luker took over third on lap seven.
Gauthier extended his lead to
almost a full second by what would
have been the normal end of the
Singles main at the 15-lap mark.

TIME TO REST
American Flat Track begins a mid-
season break. The racers are off until
August 4, when action resumes at the
Sturgis Rally with races at the Buf-
falo Chip TT and August 6 at Black
Hills Speedway in Rapid City, South
Dakota. August 10 is the rain date for
the Sacramento Mile, then a quick turn
around for the Peoria TT on August
17. It will be two TT races, a mile and
a half-mile, and thousands of travel
miles all within 13 days.
BULTACO ASTRO
INVITATIONAL
The Class of '79 Bultaco Astro Invi-
tational, a part fundraiser, part fun
race, was won by the driving force
of the Class of '79, Charlie Roberts.
"All of these Astro Invitational races
we have put on, and I've never been
able to win one," said Roberts. "This
is the first one. I've come close a few
times." Roberts had to pass fellow
'79er Jackie Mitchell for the win. Kevin
Varnes held off Roger Durkee for the
last podium spot.
