LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS
ROUND 6 / JUNE 29, 2019
MX338 / SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS
P50
And in the 250 class, Monster
Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Adam
Cianciarulo was determined to return
to the top step of the podium after los-
ing his first overall of the year a week
earlier in Florida. And he did just that,
going 1-2 for the overall victory, his
fifth of the first six rounds in 2019.
450MX
Musquin got the holeshot to start the
opening moto, and he was chal-
lenged early by Monster Energy
Kawasaki's Eli Tomac, only for Tomac
to slip into the clutches of Honda's
Ken Roczen, who passed the points
leader before setting out after Mus-
quin. But the charge was short-lived,
as Roczen began to fade a handful
of laps in, giving way first to Rockstar
Energy Husqvarna's Zach Osborne
and then to Tomac, who had strug-
gled in the early laps but was starting
to put things back together.
Tomac soon caught Osborne and
passed him for second around the
halfway point, but by then, Musquin
was too far gone. Musquin took the
win by about 10 seconds over Tomac,
Osborne, and then KTM's Cooper
Webb, who had crashed while run-
ning fourth five laps into the race and
then charged back up to fourth again
In the second moto,
Zach Osborne
celebrated his first
450-class moto win
of his career.
