"This was an amazing week-
end for us," Elias said. "We
found a very good setting
to allow me to open a gap
in the final laps in Satur-
day's race. Then today
the red flag helped. I had
picked a tire that was too
hard and I was not com-
fortable pushing. But then
things got much better
late in the race. Cameron
fought very hard, but I was
fortunate to find a way to
from the flag, when Elias swept
underneath Beaubier, who had
just passed the Suzuki rider, and
got the ultimate drive onto the
front straight to take the win over
closer to the Utah Superbike
action, as Elias, Beaubier,
Gerloff and Herrin swapped
places like baseball cards. It
was only settled two corners
Cameron Beaubier (1) makes the early
running in race one. Elias (24) would
battle past all of them for the win.
