FLAT TRACK AMERICAN FLAT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 5/MAY 11, 2019 PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY/PERRIS, CALIFORNIA P76 Brothers Racing Richie Reyn- olds, Honda CRF450R) finished sixth over a fading Mischler and Shayna Texter (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing/Roof Systems of Dallas, TX, KTM 450 SX-F). Kevin Stollings and Tristan Avery filled out the top 10. AFT PRODUCTION TWINS Cory Texter continues to show the way in the AFT Production Twins class aboard his Yamaha MT-07. Thus far, Texter has led every lap of the fledgling series. Ryan Varnes (Varnes Racing/Roy- Built/Don's Kawasaki, Kawasaki Ninja 650) was able to momen- tarily hold the lead into turn two of the first lap, but Texter rolled around the outside for the point. Varnes continued to press the issue, but Texter never put a wheel wrong and eventually opened over a one-second lead. Veteran Kayl Kolkman (Kolkman Racing/Uncle D/Blackmore Ranch, Yamaha MT-07) was a lonely third for most of the race, but Michael Inderbitzin (Weirbach Racing/Racing Unlim- ited, Kawasaki Ninja 650) closed in the late stages and finished just seven-hundredths of a second off the podium. Dalton Gauthier (Kawasaki Ninja 650), Chad Cose (Kawasaki Ninja 650), Andrew Luker (Kawasaki Ninja 650), James Rispoli (Harley- Davidson XG750R), JR Addison (Kawasaki Ninja 650) and Kevin Stollings (Kawasaki Ninja 650) rounded out the top 10. Wells get more than a half-second lead. On lap six, AFT Singles points leader Dalton Gauthier (D&D Cycles/Gobert Smash, Husqvarna 450SX-F) moved into third over Mischler and Janisch. Inderbitzin was looking for any mistake the 2016-class champion might make, but it never came, and Wells pulled off the win by four-tenths of a second. "The Yamaha was awesome. It was huge for me to come in here and get the win. To lead all 15 laps, I think I led them all," said Wells. "It was a long race for me mentally. It felt awesome to lead some laps and come out with the win. I can't say enough about the whole Estenson racing family. That pit over there is literally a family. The camaraderie is awe- some, and I couldn't get a win for a better group." Gauthier was a solid third as defending AFT Singles champion Dan Bromley (Red Bull KTM Fac- tory Racing/Roof Systems of Dal- las, TX, KTM 450 SX-F) passed Janisch on the last lap for fourth. Chad Cose (Parkinson seventh. Rob Pearson and Larry Pegram rounded out the top 10. "It is crazy to have two wins in the first five races," said Robin- son. "It is a little surreal after the big drought I had for a couple years. It just means the world to me right now. I live for the win. I could care less about the glam- our, the glitz or the money. I just want to win." AFT SINGLES Jesse Janisch (Roof Systems of Dallas, TX/Yamaha Motors, Yamaha FZ450F) got the holeshot and led the 17-rider field into turn one of the 15-lap AFT Singles main event. Michael Inderbitzin (Pa- cific Tub & Tile/Mark Strock/Rick Frisk, Honda CRF450R) and Wells were right behind. Morgen Mis- chler (Waters Autobody Racing/ D&D Powersports, KTM 450 SX-F) and Inderbitzin went under Janisch, opening a hole for Wells. In a move that would be replicated by Robinson a few minutes later, Wells dove low and grabbed the lead down the back straight. Inderbitzin and Mischler held second and third and never let (L-R) Inderbitzin, Wells and Dalton Gauthier celebrate on the Singles podium.
