Chad Cose (Hon) iii My Own Race: 94 RYAN WELLS 1ST AFT SINGLES "I won seven races in the Singles class before this one, and this was by far the coolest one," said Ryan Wells. "After all that we've been through, all that we battled against at the beginning of the year, and finding ourselves digging a huge hole from the start; to come out today and win the heat, win the semi, and win the main, it was just unbelievable. Everything was perfect. There was never a time when we came off the track and doubted anything. I knew we were capable of winning, but it just seems like we fought against ourselves. We weren't letting everything flow together like we knew it should. So, for us to finally click it off, it feels awesome. I think this is the first of many to come this year." 1 DAN BROMLEY 4TH AFT SINGLES "I had a horrible start in the main event and had to come from behind," said defend- ing Singles champ Dan Bromley (Red Bull KTM). "As the race went on, I found a line entering one down low and started passing riders one by one. By the time the white flag came out, I passed for fourth, but I ran out of laps as the front three were right in front of me. Overall, I believe we had a good day finishing fourth. There are some things I'm going to work on for the next round—one being starts—and hoping to get back on the podium in Sacramento!" 52 SHAYNA TEXTER 8TH AFT SINGLES In the main event, Red Bull KTM's Shayna Texter began from a second-row starting position. She got off the line in seventh and diced back-and-forth for positions early on. She eventually settled into ninth before putting a last-minute charge in the final three laps to bring herself up to an eighth-place finish. "For me, it was a challenging night, but we were able to come home with an eighth-place finish, which is a lot bet- ter than where we started for the day," said Shayna Texter. "So, we'll take the good from the bad and move onto Sacramento, a track that I've won at several times, and I've been on the podium a lot there, so definitely looking forward to getting on the mile and stretching the legs out on the KTM." Roland Sands Super Hooligans The 10-lap Super Hooligans main event came down to a shootout between defending series champion Andy DiBrino (Rottweiler Motorcycle Company/Rockstar Energy, KTM Duke 790) and Joe Kopp on his new Harley-Davidson. DiBrino was able to get a massive lead off the start, and it took Kopp four laps to reel him in. Once in the lead, the duo pulled well clear of the rest of the field, as DiBrino applied pressure the rest of the way. Jimmy Hill (Roland Sands Design/Shift MX, Indian FTR 1200) worked his way around Frankie Garcia (Scrambler Ducati/Vance & Hines, Ducati Scrambler 800) and filled out the podium some eight seconds off the lead. Kevin Anderson (Indian FTR 1200) and Tony Alves (Harley-Davidson 1200) filled out the top five. CN
