Justin Bogle (KTM) the East/West Shootout, as Ferrandis's teammate Justin Cooper suffered a bad start while points leader Chase Sexton started inside the top five. Sexton rode a solid main event to finish fourth, while Cooper finished eighth, and Sexton took his first professional championship. "It feels super-good," Sexton said. "It hasn't really sunk in yet, but being only 19 years old and winning my first champi- onship is unbelievable. It was the longest 15-plus-1 I've ever done. The track was gnarly. To do this for myself, and for the team, feels awesome. It couldn't have happened any better." CN Adam Cianciarulo let the 250SX West Championship slip out of his hands when he fell while running third.
