CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 56 ISSUE 18 MAY 7, 2019 P79 is unbelievable. I can't believe it's happening right now. I just controlled the race and made a good start, which I missed all season. I always got bad starts, but for this one, I made the best of it, so it's happening. It's crazy. I'm just so thankful. Thank you for all the industry in America. They didn't make this dream come true, but they're part of it because I always dreamed of racing here, and now being the champion is just unbelievable." In the 250SX East, the title was effectively decided early in "I don't care my lap time. I don't care about my gap or whatever. I'm just focusing on AC's place.' The truth is, if he was second or behind me, I don't know, I would try to make a fight with him and show him I'm better, but he [Fer- randis' mechanic] showed me he [Cianciarulo] was 4, 3, then a lap later, he put on the pit board, 'AC's 10.' So, I was like, 'Whoa. It's really happening.' It was crazy. I did the best start of my full season tonight, and I made it happen at the best moment. To win the title here in Vegas work. That's what I'll always do. I always give 100 percent; always fight to the end no matter what happens." Ferrandis took the West title in an upset by a clutch perfor- mance and a little bit of luck. "I said to my mechanic, 'Just tell me what place AC [Adam Cianciarulo] is," Ferrandis said. A couple questions later, Webb was asked about the upcoming 2019 Pro Motocross Championship, to which he responded, "I could give a shit about outdoors right now. It's all about tonight!" MADE IT! After an injury-ridden two years, Roczen was pleased to complete the entire 2019 AMA Supercross series, and although he never cap- tured that elusive win, he secured six podium finishes and an additional five top-five results en route to an im- pressive fourth overall. "Although the whole season didn't go like I wanted it to, we have a lot of good things to take away from it," Roczen said. "I've shown some good speed here and there and, most importantly, made it healthy through all 17 rounds. That alone is a win and will help me in the future." Briefly... Time to celebrate.
