fill all the gaps, and we haven't
done that yet. In the beginning,
we were kind of playing catch-
up, and then we kind of found
ourselves, and our stride here
these last few races. That was the
positive outlook on the season,
and that's about it. Just too much
playing the catch-up game in the
middle of the season there."

READY OR NOT...
Winning a 250SX title is a blessing
and, potentially, a curse. With Dylan
Ferrandis and Chase Sexton both
taking the 2019 250SX titles, under
current rules, they'll both have to
move up after getting one year to
defend those titles. Both of them
have just completed their second
year of supercross competition in
the 250SX class. It's possible that
one or both of them will be ready
for the 450SX class (if there are
rides available for them in 2021),
but it's not really likely that they
both will. Still, Ferrandis says he
wants to race some 450 races in
2020 either way.
SAVATGY, GRANT OUT
Joey Savatgy had to sit out the Las
Vegas Supercross after suffering a
massive hematoma on his leg in a big
crash during practice. Josh Grant,
who has been racing as a replace-
ment rider for the Monster Energy
Yamaha squad, was also forced to
sit out Vegas after suffering a huge
crash on Wednesday before the race
and injuring his leg and ribs.
Briefly...
Up until late in the
250SX East-West
Shootout, it appeared
that Dylan Ferrandis
would have to settle for
second in the 250SX
West Championship.
How quickly things
can change.
