VOL. 56 ISSUE 15 APRIL 16, 2019 P51 "I had a lot of fun. There was a lot of high-speed stuff and there was a lot of first-gear stuff, too! So it was a little bit of everything, which was fun for me." Despite being more of a tight-woods, technical aficionado, Bolin coped with the dry, faster conditions well aboard his Racer Decal/Kenda/Leatt-sponsored 350 XC-F and said afterward, "I'm happy. I finally rode to what I feel I can. I just had a slow start. We don't get to ride between races so we're finally getting caught up with these guys. For Wasson who's been getting great starts in the hare and hound nationals, having his Rekluse/Enduro Engineering/Fly Racing 430 RR fail to start was a new experience—and one he hopes never happens again, though he recovered nicely. "I took a deep breath and I was like, 'Okay, you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Just ride smart, hit your marks and see what you can pull together,'" Wasson said. "I rode pretty good getting back up there, but I also made a lot of stupid mistakes. I was kind of happy with myself but disappointed at the same time. But we got on the podium and there's a few rounds left so we're going to charge next time." Mach 1 Motorsports Husqvarna rider Cole Conatser had been third in the early going but couldn't hold Was- son off and settled for fourth in 3:08:35 to Wasson's 3:07:23. Roberts took fifth overall in winning Pro 250 for the third round in a row aboard his Six Five O Racing/ Racer Decal/Klim 250 RR after going off a cliff on a fast fire road on the first lap. "It wasn't anything crazy; I don't even think I hit the ground with my body, but the bike fell off the side of a hill, and it's so hard to get it back up when that hap- pened," he said. "Fortunately, there was a [course worker] right there and he helped me pull it back up. If it wasn't for him, I wasn't getting the bike back up. It was probably five or six minutes trying to get it back up." Bell Powersports Yamaha rider Justin Bonita, Pro 250 runner-up Dillon Sheppard, Lehr Real Estate KTM- mounted Michael Aranda, A.J. Lehr and Pro 250 third- place Kyle Hutcheson rounded out the top 10 overall. Mark Kariya OVERALL 1. Max Gerston (Bet) 2. Devan Bolin (KTM) 3. Joe Wasson (Bet) 4. Cole Conatser (Hus) 5.
