"I believe we started 1-2, and I got a really good start—I picked a gate way on the outside, and all he wants is a shot at the 450SX class. "I just want a 450 ride, man!" Davalos said. "I've been in this class for a long time, and I just want a shot. I know what I'm capable of doing on that bike, and outdoors was good for me on the Husky in 2017, I think it was. There are people who believe and don't believe, but I believe in myself. I know I can do it. All I'm searching for is that 450 ride. I want it so bad. I want a shot. I want a chance to show what I can do." UNKNOWN INJURY Martin Davalos says his lack of results in 2019, at least until Nash- ville, was mainly due to the broken neck he suffered last year. "It's been a tough off-season," Davalos said. "Breaking my neck last year, and ACL/MCL reconstruction, trying to come back, and obvi- ously I really didn't think that my neck was going to be a lot of an issue coming into this season.
