SUPERCROSS ROUND 14 / APRIL 7, 2019 NISSAN STADIUM / NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE P66 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS it was a nice line, so I decided to risk it there," Cooper said. "I got a really good jump, and I was able to get out front. I felt good, and it just started right away. I think we were one and two, so we started bat- tling right away knowing everything on the line right now with Austin [Forkner] out, and things got a little crazy. And in the heat of the moment, I didn't really want to give it up that quick. It sucks to get a holeshot and just get passed right away, so I definitely wanted to get back out front. I went to block- pass him in that flat corner, and I went to pull away, and I felt like our bikes were connected at that point, and it kind of just took us both down, which was just kind of a bummer." arm was going numb, and my wrist was locking up; it was pumping up. It was just a terrible, terrible feeling, because when you're riding against the best in the world, and you pre- pare so well, but you can't deliver, and you can't ride to your full poten- tial, it's just frustrating. It's just a mess in there. I haven't ridden supercross since Indianapolis. I did a little outdoor testing, but we were just trying to calm it down a little bit. It's gotten a little better, but last night I woke up with a lot of pain in my arm, and my trap [trapezius] is locked up; my hand just feels like it's burning. So, it's been a tough go for me. Tonight felt great." COACH BUBBA? Blake Baggett has been among the faster guys in the whoops all year long—actually, it's been a major strength the last few years—but he seems to think he's losing his mojo. But he has an idea to drive down from Chupacabra Ranch in Florida to James Stewart's house and get some pointers. "I mean, at the beginning of the year, it was good, and ever since I got on the KTM, it's been really good, but the past few weekends, it hasn't been that good," Baggett said of his whoop Briefly... Chase Sexton (23) took second in the 250SX East main, but he wanted the win.
