WORLDSBK TO
RETURN TO
LAGUNA SECA
IN 2019
W
orldSBK fans have been deliv-
ered some good news with the
WorldSBK Championship confirmed
at Laguna Seca, July 12-14.
It'll be a busy time for the WorldS-
BK paddock, as the British round
at Donington Park will be the week
prior, leaving not a great amount of
time to get the circus packed up and sent across
the Atlantic and to the other side of the country in
California.
The U.S. round will once again not feature the
WorldSSP or WorldSSP 300 series, with Mo-
toAmerica filling the undercard slots.
At this stage, there will be no American riders
on the grid in 2019 after PJ Jacobsen and Jake
Gagne both lost their rides with the Triple M Rac-
ing Team and Red Bull Honda team, respectively.
No word yet on if there'll be any wildcards
granted for U.S. riders, but there'll be a WorldSBK
race after all in America, and that's good news
indeed. CN
After a period
of uncertainty,
WorldSBK will be
back at Laguna
Seca in 2019.
ROCKSTAR
ENERGY
HUSQVARNA
READY FOR
DAKAR
F
ormer motocross and super-
cross standout Andrew Short
is making his second appear-
ance in the Dakar Rally this year,
with factory Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna teammate Pablo
Quintanilla of Chile.
"For me the key point would be to be able to control pressure and maintain a good race pace from
the start to the finish," Short said. "Pablo has a good chance of winning this event and I really hope
he can bring that victory home for the team. If I can help him achieve this win it would be great for the
whole team and everybody involved."
