MOTOGP JEREZ POST SEASON TEST NOVEMBER 27-28, 2018 JEREZ / JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA, SPAIN P42 20th and new tester Bradley Smith one place down. MotoGP now packs up until the start of February, with the first tests at Sepang. CN COMBINED RESULTS 1. Takaaki Nakagami (Honda) 1:37.945 2. Danilo Petrucci (Ducati) 1:37.968 3. Marc Marquez (Honda) 1:37.970 4. Maverick Vinales (Yamaha) 1:38.066 5. Jorge Lorenzo (Honda) 1:38.105 year. He placed sixth at Jerez. Suzuki riders were mainly testing a new power-up engine, with promising results. Alex Rins placed 10th, and Mir came back from a fast crash on the first day, while "almost upright" at the end of the back straight, to place 14th on day two and 15th overall. New Yamaha rider Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha) continued his strong start, sixth- fastest, still less than two tenths off the top time, and almost one ahead of seventh-placed Jack Miller (Pramac Ducati). KTM, with a huge pile of parts including several chas- sis to test, was still lagging. Pol Espargaro placed 15th and new team recruit Johann Zarco was down in 19th, 1.9 seconds down. His smooth style was very different from Espargaro's, so there was little overlap in requirements, and with so many things to test, "we have to do them one by one," he said. New Tech3 KTM teammates Hafizh Syahrin and rookie Miguel Oliveira were 23rd and 24th, with only Aprilia test rider Matteo Baiocco slower. Aprilia had no revelations, and were missing lead rider Aleix Espargaro on day one, still off-color on day two after suffering a stomach bug. New team man Andrea Iannone was the fastest in spite of two falls, placed 16th, with Espargaro Jack Miller's GP19 sports the test floating rear brake caliper, anchored to the silver trailing arm beneath the swingarm.
