VOL. 55 ISSUE 46 NOVEMBER 20, 2018 P27
been a really positive weekend
for me and it was good to get
third in the overall. In the last
moto on Sunday I was running
in second but had a flat tire that
dropped me behind. I have a
very positive feeling so far in this
off-season and I'm looking for-
ward to the Geneva Supercross
in two weeks' time. I believe the
track over in Geneva will suit my
style more and I can battle for
some good results there."
France's own Marvin Musquin
withdrew just prior to the race
due to a knee injury that he suf-
fered earlier in the week while
testing. Musquin announced on
social media that he met with his
doctor who advised him not to
race.
Musquin announced before
the Paris race: After contracting
a meniscus injury while train-
ing my last laps before to go to
Paris for the Supercross, I have
no other choice than canceling
my participation to @super-
cross_de_paris ! It's such a dis-
appointment; I was so excited
for this event, and to see you
all! I've met with my surgeon, Dr
Galaud and he has forced me
to do some specific intensive
rehab and strengthening on my
knee for a little bit, off the bike,
in order to be 100% in shape
for Anaheim 1.
In the SX2 class, Jace Owen
went 1-2-1-2-1-2 for the over-
all win, followed by Cameron
McAdoo (4-1-3-3-2-5) and Adrien
Escoffier (2-4-2-5-3-3).
As a result of Musquin's injury,
Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki's
Weston Peick was recruited
as a last-minute replacement
rider. Unfortunately, Peick was
involved in a first-turn crash with
another rider, Frenchman Cedric
Soubeyras, and was transported
to a hospital, where he remains.
Peick reportedly suffered injuries
to his face and mouth. The extent
of the injuries has not yet been
released. CN
