20 years ago. We didn't hold back saying it's the best CBR ever…
We also three a leg over the new Yamaha Venture Royal Star…
We covered the CCS Race of Champions at Daytona; Steve Grigg
was the Unlimited Grand Prix-class winner… Yamaha-mounted Ty
Davis won the AMA National Hare & Hound final at Lucerne; he had
already clinched the championship… David Vuillemin won the Paris
Supercross, which was round one of the World SX Championship.
The CMC Trans-Cal Series concluded at Carlsbad Raceway. Ty Davis
wrapped up titles in both the 125 and 250cc Pro classes. ATK-mounted
Greg Zitterkopf won both 500cc Pro motos that day, but Rich Mythen
went home the series class champion… Jeff Fredette won the Illinois
Cross Country Championship in Morrison… We showed you the 1989
motorcycles from Suzuki, including the GS500E with an MSRP of
$2999 and the all-new RMX250 ($3899)… Will Davis won the 600cc
National at Dixie Speedway.
