HAAKER FORGES AHEAD AT
DENVER ENDUROCROSS
C
olton Haaker (Rockstar
Energy Husqvarna) reeled
off his second win of the season,
vaulting him past Cody Webb into
the points lead in the 2018 AMA
EnduroCross Championship.
Haaker's recent win came
at the National Western Events
Center in Denver, Colorado, Oc-
tober 20, where he outdueled the
number-one plate holder Cody
Webb (FMF KTM) in the main
event to nab the big win. Webb
and Haaker were atop the leader-
board going into the Denver race,
tied on points, but Haaker now
has the outright lead with two
rounds left to go.
Looking Good
Webb looked like an early favorite
to win the whole thing. He came
out firing on all eight cylinders
when he won his heat race over
a talent-laden field, crossing the
finish line ahead of Ty Tremaine
(now riding a Beta), Noah Kepple
(GasGas), Cooper Abbott (RPM
KTM), Mason Ottersberg and
Austin Schiermeister, the top six
qualifying directly to the main
event.
Webb then set the fastest hot
lap time over Haaker and Tre-
maine, and then he went into the
bracket races as the top seed.
