VOL. 55 ISSUE 42 OCTOBER 23, 2018 P31 But Haaker was riding well, too. He won his heat race over Kyle Redmond (Team SRT Husqvarna), Geoff Aaron, Ty Cul- lins, Dustin McCarthy and Daniel Mundell. When Haaker and Webb met for the first time in the bracket race, Haaker made an aggres- sive pass on Webb to take the win and the single championship point that comes with it. Webb, however, was looking good early in the main event when he took the lead away from Haaker, who had bobbled in the rock pile after having taken the holeshot. Webb was cruising up front until lappers started imped- ing his progress, resulting in a stumble in the rock pile, just like Haaker had earlier in the race. Haaker saw his chance and pounced, passing Webb for the lead. Haaker rode a strong and steady race from there on out, though he did fall once, and took the win over Webb. "Denver has always been re- ally good to me," Haaker said. "The tracks are a little faster and I always have good results here. I've won four of the last five races here. I made an error in the rocks after my holeshot and Cody got by me, so I tried to keep calm and just ride my race to the end. "I tried to keep the pressure on but not make mistakes," Haaker said. "I saw an opening in the rocks in the same exact place I lost the lead and I went for it. From there I tried to put Cody Webb had a shot at the win until a bobble in the rock pile. He still finished second. Ty Tremaine, now riding a Beta, finished out the night on the podium.
