Bob Fuller held off Vern Perry to win the 1st Open heat race, Dick Sadler won the 2nd heat and Nick Morris on a very fast 250 Honda won the third heat. This brought the winners together in the trophy dash, but the race was all Fuller and Sadler witb Fuller finishing the victor. The Open A-main event brought Fuller, Perry, and Sadler together again along witb Ken Jensen and Bob Anderson both on Triumpbs and Lee Reynolds on a 441 BSA Victor. The start was good til t the 2nd tum got pretty crowded causing Vern Perry and Bob Anderson to get tangled which called for a restart.
