P120 50 Years Ago OCTOBER 24, 1968 LOOKING BACK Cycle News was concerned what the AMA had planned for us motorcyclists in its upcoming Congress agenda. We asked our readers what they thought the AMA should do and featured an interview with AMA President Bill Bagnall… Fred Nix moved into the AMA National points lead with his win at the Oklahoma City 9-Mile National… We covered the Grand Canyon Gypsy Tour road ride that attracted 342 riders from around the country… Larry Bergquist rode his 250cc Bultaco to victory at the 100's M.C. 100-mile hare scrambles in Lucerne Valley, California.
