Off the start I ended up around fifth after the first couple turns and just started picking off riders. I got behind the leader and followed him for several miles looking for a place to pass. We got into some virgin trail and I found a spot to make a sketchy pass. I made it stick and started charging until the finish. It was a lot of fun." "Overall it went pretty good," said Garrison. "I didn't get the best start, but just kept working my way up." Third place went to KTM rider Ian Blythe, followed by fellow KTM riders Ivan Ramirez and Colton Haaker. Gold Wing Recall American Honda has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a potential defect relating to motor vehicle safety exists in the secondary master cylinder on certain 2001-2010 and 2012 model year GL1800 motorcycles, according to Honda. Honda dealers will inspect the secondary master cylinder of all affected motorcycles in dealership stock or sold to customers. If an inspection indicates that the compensator port hole can become blocked due to this problem, the dealer will replace the secondary master cylinder. Registered owners of affected motorcycles will be contacted by mail and asked to take their motorcycle to a Honda dealer. The dealer will inspect the motorcycle, and if necessary, replace the secondary master cylinder, free of charge. Mikey To Twins Pro Singles Flat Track Champion Mikey Martin will make the jump to the AMA Grand National Championship in 2012 and he'll do so armed with a factory Triumph. Martin will campaign his rookie season on the big twins with the Bill Gately-led Bonneville Performance team. Martin's ties with Triumph go way back - his grandfather was a Triumph dealer and his father is currently an AMA flat track promoter. "Joining the Bonneville Performance team and becoming the factory rider for Triumph is a huge honor, and the perfect fit for me," said Martin. "Bill Gately has built an incredible machine. They've had their hand on every part of this bike and there's nothing they haven't improved. Their level of commitment and dedication is impressive. I'm excited to be on the bike and looking forward to a great season." 12/12/11 2:40 PM
