wo points separated David Pearson from
championship rivals Robby Bell and
Shane Esposito going into the TransWest
Ford Henderson 250, the sixth and final round
of Best in the Desert's American Off-Road Racing Series.
And when it was over, THR Motorsports Kawasaki's Bell and Esposito found themselves

with the win they needed but still two points behind Purvines Racing Honda's Pearson, whose
second-place finish - just 15 seconds behind
after three 45-mile laps - was enough to lock
up the series championship. Bell/Esposito
needed just two hours, nine seconds and 20
minutes to complete the 135 miles, while Pearson finished in 2:09:35. Defending series
champs Jerry Parsons and Anthony Westbay of
the RPP Racing KTM team finished third on the
