2019 DUCATI SCRAMBLER
ICON FIRST LOOK
D
ucati will debut a new Scrambler Icon for
the 2019 model year, and although the
changes may be difficult to spot from a dis-
tance, they're all meaningful little touches aimed
at keeping the Scrambler Icon at the top of the
class it helped create four years ago.
Starting with the engine—there are new,
thicker side panels and brushed cylinder-
head fins. The suspension has been slightly
reworked, there's a new LCD instrument panel
with a fuel gauge that will link up to the Ducati
Multimedia system, which allows riders to make
and receive calls and listen to tunes, and the
company has fitted the Bosch Cornering ABS
feature—a first for any machine in this category.
The Scrambler Icon is available in Atomic
Tangerine with black frame and a black seat
with grey trim or in classic '62 Yellow with black
frame and black seat with grey trim.
Cycle News will be riding this machine next
week in Italy and will have a full test for you
soon in future issue. CN
