Tomac, meanwhile, worked his way into fifth after running about 15th off the start. Late in the moto, Roczen came under pressure from Mus- quin, but a mistake for Musquin when the pair got the two-to-go sign gave Roczen some breath- ing room and caused Musquin to save whatever he had left for moto two. Roczen ended up winning the moto over Musquin, while Tomac ended up third after it took him five laps to get around Barcia through the middle of the moto. Anderson and Blake Baggett (Rocky Mountain ATV- MC KTM) rounded out the top five, both passing Barcia in the closing laps. Barcia was sixth. make up 21 points on Tomac to take the title in Indiana. It defi- nitely seems unlikely, but Tomac lost 35 points to Musquin at RedBud just over a month ago, so… you know what they say. At worst, an unlikely 6-6 score will still win it for Tomac, even if Musquin takes home both motos. 450MX In the first 450MX moto, Mus- quin got the holeshot, but Ken Roczen (Honda HRC) immedi- ately snuck by the KTM pilot to take the lead, with Justin Bar- cia (Monster Energy Yamaha) settling into third and returning 2018 SX champ Jason Ander- But he couldn't be happier. And chances are pretty good that the Aaron Plessinger who shows up at the series finale next weekend in Indiana will be very hard to beat, once he has the week to soak up what he's accomplished. But Eli Tomac (Monster Ener- gy Kawasaki) is going to have to wait a week to officially wrap up his first-ever title defense, and Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM) is not out of it yet. If not for a big crash on Tuesday before Budds Creek, it's entirely possible that Musquin could've won at Budds Creek, after leading both motos. Instead, after losing five points to Tomac at Budds, Musquin has to Eli Tomac did it again. Just when you think he's too far back to win, he proves everybody wrong. He came from behind again to take the overall victory.
