We squeezed a little bit of everything on the cover of Cycle News
20 years ago. We covered Eric Bostrom's AMA Superbike win at
Brainerd, Chris Carr's win at the Peoria TT, Doug Henry's victory
at Washougal, and Troy Corser and Colin Edward splitting wins at
the FIM World Superbike at Brands Hatch… We tested the Aprilia
RSV1000… Harley-Davidson revealed its new-generation 1450cc
Twin Cam 88 engine, featured in the Dyna family of bikes.

Kawasaki teammates Jeff Ward and Ron Lechien were pictured on
the cover of Cycle News 30 years ago duking it out at Troy, Ohio's
Kenworthy's MX Track during the 125/500cc National. Lechien would
get the better of Ward, and George Holland would come out on
top of the 125cc class… We covered the AMA Amateur/Youth Grand
Nationals in Washington State and some of the big winners were Larry
Pegram, Georgie Price, Johnny Murphree, Kenny Coolbeth,
Kevin Varnes and Jake Zemke… Kevin Atherton won the AMA
600cc Parkersburg Half Mile.
