VOL. 55 ISSUE 29 JULY 24, 2018 P25 BOU WINS IN BELGIUM S pain's Toni Bou (Repsol Honda) won yet again in the 2018 FIM TrialsGP Champi- onship. His latest victory came in Comblain-au-Pont, Belgium, July 22, where he finished out the meet four points clear of his nearest rival Adam Raga (TRRS Factory Team). Another 12 points back was Takahisa Fujinami, making it two Repsol Honda Team riders on the podium at the end of the day. Jaime Busto (Gas Gas Factory Team) and James Dabill (Beta Factory Team) rounded out the top five. Bou's win was doubly impressive in that he pulled off the victory after injuring his right knee during qualifying the day before. "I am very happy, mainly after what happened to me yesterday," said Bou after Sunday's victory. "Today I passed a difficult night with a lot of fluid and during the race I was able to endure the pain, but it was complicated. Thanks to all the team and especially my teammate Fujinami who also went through a similar knee injury. I've had a pretty bad time, saving every area almost at the limit, but finally I've achieved a fantastic first position that is very good for the championship." Bou leads fellow Spaniard Jeroni Fajardo (Gas Gas Factory Team), who was sixth in Belgium, by 23 points with one round remaining. Busto is just three points behind Fajardo, and Raga is within striking distance of Busto. CN Toni Bou ignored the pain of a knee injury to win the Belgium round of the 2018 FIM TrialsGP Championship.
